Monday at Camp Maranatha

Monday started out a little wet. It rained for much of the morning, but by afternoon the sun came out and the forecast calls for sunny weather for at least the next couple of days. Today we picked up where we left off Friday. Since many projects were completed last week, new ones began today, including interior painting the gym, new bed frames for the cottages, pruning of trees, cutting down dead trees, cleaning up junk piles, building a 12x12 gazebo. It was a very productive day capped off with a salmon and trout dinner thanks to the fishing skills of several anglers on our team, namely Kenny, Don and Chuck. As I type it is nearly 7:30 and the sun is still shining bright on the lake, and I can see a couple guys trout fishing and I have the itch to go out on the lake in a canoe so I'm going to wrap up now. Enjoy the pictures below. Thanks for your continued prayers!
Debbie pruning trees as the bonfire burns the trimmed branches in the background.

Derek and Lester checking their base for the 12x12 gazebo to make sure it is square.

Mary doing mountains of laundry for 15 team members.

Tim using the bucket of the tractor to reach branches needing trimmed.

Ed smiling for the camera as he and Don build bed frames.

Don's turn to wave at the camera as I drive by on the tractor.

Me returning to the junk piles after dumping one of many loads of wood scraps on the bonfire.

Tim on his skid loader back for another load of wood scraps to haul to the bonfire.
